  • “Paz” Meditative Storytelling Boom Bap Beat | Prod. by Phantasiis

    I hope you’re doing well and keeping yourself inspired.

    I’d like to share with you a new instrumental boom bap beat I’ve worked on Sunday night. This one was a pleasure to work with and a cathartic experience to say the least at the time of production. It’s tiled “Paz” which translates to Peace from Spanish.

    That’s a feeling I’ve been trying to chase and emulate both a musical and personal level.

    I’ve been absent from writing and devoting my time to music whenever possible. It’s time to share with you some of my progress. After several life transitions, since the second half of 2021, I realized that I was writing less and less. I stop taking care of my journaling and consequently, this blog.

    However, I’ve been practicing and producing at a faster rate and releasing songs often through my Official YouTube Artist Channel.

    I tried a different route as far as my music distribution goes. I started to release about 40+ songs since October 2021 on YouTube. While at it I released an unannounced LP titled “Sin Miedo” (without fear) as an official release through Spotify, Apple Music and beyond.

    On December 2021, I got the opportunity to collaborate with an author to compose an original piece for a book commercial/trailer, titled “From Tijuana with Love” by Luis Jimenez. I felt in love with the project since it is a novel based on my hometown, Tijuana Mexico, where I was born and raised.

    I’ll write more about the experience in a future post.

  • “Eres Fuerte” (You’re Strong) – Phantasiis | Lo-Fi Type Beat

    I was having an emotional experience while creating this song. I almost wanted to cry out of joy of doing what I love and getting lost in the sounds. When I’m in this state of flow, I forget to eat or to take breaks. I forget everything and I let myself get carried by the music and the moment itself. I really don’t know what it was, I just felt connected to something greater than myself last night.

    It was beautiful.

    I felt that a voice within me told me, “eres fuerte” (you’re strong), and not in the sense of physical strength. Rather, that my spiritual growth is stronger, making me more resilient when I feel that I’m stepping into darkness.

    I hope that this instrumental piece makes you feel calm, and that it reminds you that you got this. You are getting stronger.

  • “Mi Otro Yo” (My Other Self) – Prod. by Phantasiis | Hip-hop Instrumental | Piano Type Beat

    Today I worked on an instrumental song that I’ve produced from scratch live on Twitch and Facebook. While the stream itself wasn’t optimized-it looked low-res and blurry- I had an amazing experience doing it. I took me about two hours and a half to have the finished product that you’ll see below.

    “Mi Otro Yo” or my other self in English is a song that to me, teleports the listener to a place where you meet your other self, either good or bad and have a conversation with them. It has a dark, somber atmosphere but also a feeling of hope, nonetheless.
