This instrumental was intense to create. I still remember the excitement and nervousness of that very moment in production. I was in flow. I was going through the motions. I was alone. I was sad and full of angst. I needed out.
And out I go. Musically.
Wishing you well. I hope this instrumental makes you feel something. Better yet, write something along to it.
I do not have lyrics for it. Perhaps you do. And that, my friend, makes this craft so worth it.
This track is called “Self Reflection”, and is the second of my upcoming instrumental EP titled, “The Love Substance.” A collection of five instrumentals with possible b-sides with lyrics. Available in the future in my Bandcamp artist page.
I wanted to portray an emotion of deep introspection when I produced this track. The goal was to use a minimal approach in sound selection. In this case, 5 audio tracks in total. At the same time, I wanted to create a wall of sound during the choruses.
I aimed to create an ambiance with the string sections drenched in reverb. The vocals are meditative, and in a way they hint sadness. A sadness of knowing the real question if you are the one to love that reflection in the mirror. Therefore, the title.
This song does not aim to be a sad tune. This is a song to think inward and explore such findings outwards in your world.
This dark boom bap with heavy ambiance is part of a 5 piece run I produced. The final EP is going to be in Bandcamp soon. I wanted to share with you this first piece.

I’ve always felt that music can speak directly to the heart when feelings are at their peak—raw, genuine, and unfiltered. That’s exactly what inspired me in writing my latest song, “Never Again,” produced by the DJ and music producer, MMPBeatz. One of many collaborations that will be released.
“Never Again” is more than a song to me; it’s an emotional release of reclaiming my self-worth, hope, and resilience.
I express myself half in English and half in Spanish. I try to capture the duality of my identity and emotions. I connect the two worlds within me. A bilingual adventure.
The song emerged during a period of personal reflection—a dark night of the soul. We’ve all been there, caught in cycles that feel unbreakable. Doubts creeping in with shadows getting closer each night.
I wrote:
“I’m done waiting, I’m done trying. We’re all lying because we’re all dying. Never Again”.
These lines poured out as a reminder to myself that life is beautiful and ephemeral. A reminder that waiting or holding back on my dreams was no longer an option.
The strength behind “Never Again” lies in my declaration to reclaim creativity. I refuse to let negativity define my journey.
Working with MMPBeatz has been a very positive experience. The instrumental he crafted is atmospheric yet intense. It is filled with tension that perfectly mirrors the lyrics. It gave me space to express vulnerability, rawness, and determination.
When I first heard the beat, I instantly felt a connection—it was the canvas I needed to voice this story.
Writing the Spanish verses was equally important for me. The emotional nuances of the language allowed me to dig deeper:
“Nunca jamás entenderás Todo lo que tuve que vivir para escribir cada canción Mientras navego hasta el fondo de tu mente Y llego a tu corazón para hacer nacer una flor”
These lines reflect my journey. They also embody my mission—to touch the listener’s heart. I aim to inspire growth from the darkest places. I believe our hardest moments can become our strongest lessons if we allow ourselves to bloom.
“Never Again” represents freedom from past pain, moving forward, and living in authenticity. I hope anyone who listens can feel this liberation. They might find courage in their own stories. Then, they can say with confidence—Nunca Jamás, Never Again.
This song is a promise to myself. It is also a promise to those who resonate with my story. We won’t let our dreams and hopes die. We deserve more, and it’s time to live like we truly believe it.
In this video, I present to you my lastest instrumental piece titled, ‘Maestro’.
I produced the loop idea with the MPC Live II by Akai Professional at 88 beats per minute. Which for me is a great tempo for a storytelling artists that would like to share their bars.
I left the song with untagged on purpose. The idea is for this to be a blank canvas where an artist can write their song with no interruptions or having to wait until the voiceover is over.
I hope that ‘Maestro’ inspires to write something full of instrospection like it did to me. I will share another video with some lyrics in Spanish in the near future.
